Obama’s Drug Expert Speaks Out Against Vermont Decriminalization Bill

Former Congressman Patrick Kennedy and Kevin Sabet, a former drug expert in the Obama administration, recently criticized Vermont’s decriminalization bill which is winding through the Vermont legislature.  VTDigger.org has the story:

“This legislation is misguided because it really sends the wrong message to folks and sends us down this path of legalization,” Sabet told VTDigger.

Kennedy and Sabet see marijuana use as an addiction, and worry about the children:

Kennedy said the country should learn from how the alcohol and tobacco industries have tried to lure kids to become addicted to these legal and regulated substances.
